  Introduction :

In an increasingly globalised world economy, people need special skills and qualities to succeed. Employers want employees who can think effectively, creatively and independently. This is an essential part of the UK learning experience. Institutions use a variety of teaching and assessment methods to encourage independence, as well as mastery of the subject.

UK scientists and institutions have won almost 100 Nobel Prizes for their scientific achievements. The UK's creative brains 'artists, fashion designers, film and T.V stars, and leisure software designers' are regarded as among the best in the world.

At degree and postgraduate level in particular, students are encouraged to read widely, to question and analyse what they have read, and to discuss openly their own ideas in seminars and tutorials. Career-based courses are designed to equip you for specific roles in the modern world of work.

English language skills will be important for your future career prospects. English is acknowledged as the language of business, science, IT and the internet around the world. Learning English in the UK allows you to immerse yourself in the language, to live and think in English.

The United Kingdom is a diverse and multi-ethnic society, where students of all backgrounds are welcome and their involvement in local communities is valued.

Programs Eligibility :

The Indian graduation system of three years is accepted by most universities and educational institutions in UK. In fact, a British bachelor degree is equivalent to the Indian degrees of B.Com, B.A. and B.SC. But a few British universities require a qualification of 16 years of formal education. This implies that students having completed B.E. or B.Tech courses in India qualify for the postgraduate programs in UK.

Application forms for postgraduate programs in UK can be ordered via email, via airmail or can be downloaded from the university's official website.

Most universities require applicants to submit their official records of previous academic qualifications. Information and transcripts about the extra-curricular activities should be neatly submitted in an organized folder or a portfolio. Almost all universities in UK require students to submit transcripts of their IELTS scores to prove their English language skills. The Management schools in UK require international students to take GMAT (General Management Admission Test) and submit the grades obtained.

All universities require applicants to provide a detailed resume which should include their personal information, work-experience details, achievements and range of work. A letter of recommendation plays a crucial role in your application process. This document should be written by an authority who knows the applicant personally. It should give a brief idea about the applicant's general conduct and capabilities. Most universities require students to submit their statement of purpose stating their career goals, career interests, ambitions and personal interests.

Postgraduate programs in UK strive to mould the students into experts of their chosen field. This certainly helps them avail the bright career avenues in both UK and India.
